Marián Čekovský Joins Kontrafakt on the Murdardo Mulano Tour 2026
After more than twenty years, an exceptional fusion of two musical worlds returned to Slovak stages. The legendary hip-hop group Kontrafakt, consisting of Rytmus, Ego and DJ Anys, revived their iconic Murdardo Mulano Tour in 2026, once again joined by Marián Čekovský and his band. Their collaboration had already been one of the highlights of the original tour two decades ago, bringing a distinctive live dimension to Kontrafakt’s music. With Čekovský and his musicians on stage, the group’s rap tracks gained a completely new sound, combining the raw energy of hip-hop with the dynamics and spontaneity of a live band.
Marián Čekovský brought his distinctive musical approach to some of Kontrafakt’s best-known songs, demonstrating how naturally hip-hop can blend with live instrumentation, improvisation and outstanding musicianship. Audiences had the opportunity to experience tracks they had known for years in fresh concert arrangements created specifically for the live performances. The return of the Murdardo Mulano Tour was therefore much more than a nostalgic look back at the early days of Slovak hip-hop. It became a full-scale concert show reflecting the musical development, experience and unmistakable personalities of the artists over the past two decades.
The Murdardo Mulano Tour 2026 visited Košice, Bango and Anys with Marián Čekovský once again brought to life a project that holds a significant place in the history of Slská Bystrica and Bratislava, culminating in a final concert at Bratislava Castle on 6 June. The reunion of Rytmus, Eovak hip-hop. For Čekovský, the tour was also another demonstration of his remarkable musical versatility and his ability to cross genre boundaries, connect different musical styles and give familiar songs a distinctive new character through his unique artistic signature.
